What is CBD?

What is Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, and Isolate?

Derived from the hemp plant, full spectrum CBD products contain the full range of cannabinoids. This includes 0.3% or less of THC (which is the federal legal limit) and other elements of the plant such as natural terpenes, amino acids, and essential vitamins. In addition to CBD, other common cannabinoids are, cannabicromene, cannabidivarin, cannabigerol, and cannabinol. The major benefit of full spectrum CBD is the combination of all the compounds together, this is known as the entourage effect.
Broad spectrum CBD products contain a range of cannabinoids and other elements of the hemp plant. This includes a very small amount of THC. So little in fact that it is undetected by any lab test.
CBD isolate strictly only contains CBD. All of the other properties of the hemp plant are removed including THC, terpenes, amino acids, and essential vitamins. This pure form of CBD is created by extracting the CBD during a purifying process where all plant material is filtered out of the extract.

How does CBD work in the body?

CBD essentially binds with receptors in your body. Your body creates its own cannabinoids which are called endocannabinoids. Hemp plants make this type of compound called phytocannabinoids. CBD is one of over one hundred types of phytocannabinoids. Your endocannabinoid system (ECS) works to keep your body at homeostasis by regulating anxiety, sleep, immune system, mood, and more. CBD assists your ECS with keeping your body at homeostasis. CBD provides support to your ECS so you are able to feel your best.
